Adepticon 2013 38 days and counting

   So, it is getting close to that time of the year. I am not sure what I plan on taking with me. There is a chance for a Nurgle vs Space puppies grudge match, with a old friend of mine {Dave the Destroyer}. But, I have made a good blood angle jump army. If he goes it will be his first year. So, I am inclined to take an army he would like to play against.
  I am not sure if psychosquire is coming with yet. He pops up close to the con and gives little notice. He is sneaky like that. He most likely will bring a eldar/dark eldar list. I have play against it and got destroyed by it. I played nurgle and his Harley/HQ unit is a beast.
  Perv goat may also show up, if his work schedule clears up. This would be his first time also. We may get a few Malifaux games in I hope to get a few more models painted by then. If I am lucky, I hope to get another 40k game against him. We have played a game last month and he beat me but it was very tight. We played at the Battle Bunker and everyone was commenting on his old minis (2nd edition). It was great to see all the players giving their respect.
  I wish my buddy Ozzy could go for at least a day. He is a big Warmahoard player. I think he would get a kick out of it. But he has a hard work schedule.
  Well, I guess we will see who goes as we get closer.

Second Blight Drone in the air

 I have launched a second blight drone for my all nurgle army. I still am working on the Plague reaper of vade. I am going to switch over to painting my Forgeworld Khorne Termies and Karn to give Khorne some love. But, that might change.
   As for gaming, I played a little 40K and a few Malifaux games. I lost every game.
   The 40k game was against a harlistar army. Nurgle died in close combat before they could even swing. Damn their high Initiative. I can tell you that the rule making Chaos Marines to call and take all challenges sucks major space balls.

 I picked up the tomb it is big. I did not get to read to much today but, Snapshot and overwatch rocks. I will post more later.

Forgeworld Decimator

Forgeworld has released its rumored Chaos Daemon Engine. Called the "Decimator"

From Forgeworld:

The Decimator is a brutal and hellish creation; the essence of a creature of the Warp bound and fettered within the armoured bulk of a bipedal war machine. Great slab-shoulders of tainted and defiled ceramite and adamantium, and a low-set ‘head’ give the Decimator a characteristic hunched posture which exudes brooding and vicious menace.

Inquisitorial savants do not know for sure what malefic party is responsible for this sinful innovation as the Decimator is capable of fielding a wide range of armament: rapid-firing Butcher Cannons, multi-barrelled Stormlasers, and great raking Siege Claws to name but a few. Towering over even the mighty Contemptor Pattern Dreadnoughts of the Adeptus Astartes, the Decimator is believed to be an attempt to bolster the ranks of such ancient devices that still serve the Traitor Legions. If this is the truth, then it is feared that many warriors of the Imperium will fall before these deadly war machines.

The Decimator Daemon Engine, model designed by Daren Parrwood and Edgar Skomorowski, is an incredibly detailed full resin kit that stands roughly 4" (102mm) tall. Weapons for this fell war machine are sold separately. This kit is available to pre-order now for despatch from Monday 2nd April, and you can also download experimental rules for the Decimator from the Forge World website.

 I plan on getting one or two at adepticon.

40K Chaos Legions Coming in 2012?

   So the new buzz on the web is that the Chaos Legions will be released March 2012. I hope this will clear the way for  me to have a more playable Tzeench army. I also have a Khorne and a great nurgle army. So I wanted to post a small wish list on each army.

•  TZEENCH: More spells per Sorcerers (two for Aspiring Champions and 3 for Lords) and not to make casting roll.  I would also like to see a new spell or two.
• KHORNE: Not sure they are cheap and Killy. I guess a cooler daemon weapon and some new unnamed hotness
• NURGLE: Please let the Bikers and Terminators have feels no pain.

 As a whole the Codex needs dreadclaws to match the deep striking armies already out. Plus I hope for the return for the free upgrade to aspiring if squads reach the unholy number of thier gods.

McPussen the bringer of rot.

So I started to follow a new site: Warflake40kn00b.blogspot.com. He
asked his followers to post a pic of our favorate model. So McPussen came to mind. Let me know what you think and if you could handle more 40k blog goodness check out warflake.

Reaper Barrel Work

 The Plague Reaper is coming along well The picture does not do it justice. I used half the tooth brush for the barrel. the green stuff work is still not the quality I would like, But I am learning with every pus sac.
  I think I am going to use vats that are rectangular to cover more of the side armour. I am going to dry fit before I make that choice.

 I used the guitar wire in four strands on the barrel, any more on the barrel would look to busy.

pre Nurgle Baneblade

 The model came in the mail. I am going to have to do a lot of prep work filing off all the imperial details. I was hoping to start this weekend. I plan to work on the turret first. I think I have all the supplies on hand. This thing is big. I can not wait to field it with my Nurgle apoc list.
   Remember decay is nature and nature always wins. 

Plague Reaper Prep

    I went shopping this weekend and picked up some stuff for the Reaper of Vade. I bought a "plastic " cutting wheel for my dremmel (Easy Lock Bits). I got some wood putty( Three Buck for 8 ounces), I will try to fill in the major gaps  to save on green stuff. The thing I am most proud of is the Barrel. I got a Tooth brush container. That's right I got a travel container and am using half as the new barrel. My girl friend was looking at me like I was crazy, until I demo it on my my first Baneblade. Well, OK,  she still looked at me like I am crazy, but she at least understood my plans. Now I am just waiting for the tank in the mail.

Plague Reaper Culling the Pure.

 As I trolled through Evil Bay I found a baneblade on sale for $60. As I ready have a baneblade, I thought a plague reaper was in order. I have gotten mildly better at green stuff so it is time to go to the big leagues and get dug in. The stats for the reaper is not the best, cost is 450 points. You lose the auto cannon and main battle cannon. In exchange you get the pus cannon str7 ap 3 ( power armor killer) hellstorm template. Part of the reason I am building it is so I can try to out the huge flamer template. This will also get me a at least one super heavy for my all nurgle army. I try to get one apoc game in a year and the next one looks to be a nurgle infestation of an imperial world. The diseased will include no less then two blight drones, a plague hulk, two daemon princes, land raider, and the vile plague reaper. So let the pus fly.

Nuirgle Blight Drone( Flying Shrimp)

   At Adepticon I got a second Blight Drone for the puss filled nurgle filth that rot my game table. The first drone has seen a good amount of battle. It has faired well, working like a  light cannon fast skimmer. The reaper auto cannon is good due to the twin linked re rolls it is needed as the bs 2 hitting on fives sucks. I average 1 hit so I can't complain to much. The reason for the second one is to get more time on the board as people shoot the heaven out of the one. So I drop the obliterators add the second drone(looks cooler) to give the chance of a fast hitting shock I so desperately need. This should make the fiends razor spam more reactive. I also think it will help against Mr. Mom's Space Wolfs.
