2015 Adepticon on it's way........

So I plan on attending the con as I have the last few years. This year I plan on spending most of my cash on emperor's children preheresy. Just enough to get a legal army. Next year I will expand on the army will the cool stuff. I do have a kabuki Fulgrim, palatine blades, and kachophni squad painted. So this year it is troops and the rule book. That will pretty much tap me out. But the bases and bits will make me over spend.  Hope to see the judge and new new people. 

Sorry I have not been posting had a great loss in my life and have had to heal. I still not recovered and don't think I ever will but I have been surviving.

Only war RPG play time

I have been running an only war group for a few months. The game was based around a Penal legion.  The group contained one commissar, medic, and three grunts. The game plays pretty well. The group seemed to like the scenarios. But everybody's schedule kept changing, so we had to break for a little over a month. I'm hoping to kick off  with the group again soon. They were about to blow up a fuel depot. If it falls through I was going to join a dark heresy group.

Michigan Grand Tournament 2013

Just made it in to the hotel a few minutes ago. Now psycho-squire is trying to finish painting his army.  I came to watch him see if he can win a few games. But at this rate he might not get the army completely assembled, let alone painted. He has less then 4 hours to complete. It is down to the last few quick paint strokes and glued limbs. I am not sure if he can pull this out his ass. I will try to update later. It bed time for me and glue sniffing for him.

Adepticon 2013 38 days and counting

   So, it is getting close to that time of the year. I am not sure what I plan on taking with me. There is a chance for a Nurgle vs Space puppies grudge match, with a old friend of mine {Dave the Destroyer}. But, I have made a good blood angle jump army. If he goes it will be his first year. So, I am inclined to take an army he would like to play against.
  I am not sure if psychosquire is coming with yet. He pops up close to the con and gives little notice. He is sneaky like that. He most likely will bring a eldar/dark eldar list. I have play against it and got destroyed by it. I played nurgle and his Harley/HQ unit is a beast.
  Perv goat may also show up, if his work schedule clears up. This would be his first time also. We may get a few Malifaux games in I hope to get a few more models painted by then. If I am lucky, I hope to get another 40k game against him. We have played a game last month and he beat me but it was very tight. We played at the Battle Bunker and everyone was commenting on his old minis (2nd edition). It was great to see all the players giving their respect.
  I wish my buddy Ozzy could go for at least a day. He is a big Warmahoard player. I think he would get a kick out of it. But he has a hard work schedule.
  Well, I guess we will see who goes as we get closer.

Bullet to the head

      At first I thought because of it being an action packed movie, I would love it. but after watching it with the thin plot line and the duality of good cop with an assassin, it just didn't do good on the screen I will say that Jason Moama the Conan actor did a really good job as the bad guy but at the end of the story to quicken the pain of watching, he just kills off as many people as he can This movie was more like a bullet to my head. I would skip it.

  I loved the show and GF9 did great with Sparticus (I bought a copy). So this might make it home. Also notice they said minitures games??????  I hope they trial it at Adepticon.

Second Blight Drone in the air

 I have launched a second blight drone for my all nurgle army. I still am working on the Plague reaper of vade. I am going to switch over to painting my Forgeworld Khorne Termies and Karn to give Khorne some love. But, that might change.
   As for gaming, I played a little 40K and a few Malifaux games. I lost every game.
   The 40k game was against a harlistar army. Nurgle died in close combat before they could even swing. Damn their high Initiative. I can tell you that the rule making Chaos Marines to call and take all challenges sucks major space balls.

Malifaux Release 2012(Gen CON) Trick or Treat

So I have been checking the web for new Gencon releases and for this. according to sources it it a 10 thunders model. Looks like a resser to me. I will post more as I get thim. I plan on spending $100.00 or so on Wyrd.

40k Rule Book 6th ed in my hands

 I picked up the tomb it is big. I did not get to read to much today but, Snapshot and overwatch rocks. I will post more later.

My First Malifaux Game

So, I play Von Schill vs Marcus and lost. I had fun but could have played better. My buddy Chris has been playing for years and even worked the booth at Gencon. He cut me alot of slack and I still got my butt kicked. I liked my crew and just started to get a few tricks down. One work of caution do not play your first game with the puppet deck. It was hard to understand the pics and play quickly. So, I am hooked on playing. The game last maybe an hour. So quick to set up and tear down. You need to give it a try.

Reaver Titan has joined the table

So at Adepticon I bought a Reaver Titan. It is the Armorcast model, so it was much much cheaper around $250.00. I am now looking for a new arm to replace the power Fist. My group does not play alot of big games. So I hope to get it on the table soon. I am not sure what color it is going to be yet but I am thinking blue or green. So stay tuned for some heavy hitting battle summeries.

Forgeworld Decimator

Forgeworld has released its rumored Chaos Daemon Engine. Called the "Decimator"

From Forgeworld:

The Decimator is a brutal and hellish creation; the essence of a creature of the Warp bound and fettered within the armoured bulk of a bipedal war machine. Great slab-shoulders of tainted and defiled ceramite and adamantium, and a low-set ‘head’ give the Decimator a characteristic hunched posture which exudes brooding and vicious menace.

Inquisitorial savants do not know for sure what malefic party is responsible for this sinful innovation as the Decimator is capable of fielding a wide range of armament: rapid-firing Butcher Cannons, multi-barrelled Stormlasers, and great raking Siege Claws to name but a few. Towering over even the mighty Contemptor Pattern Dreadnoughts of the Adeptus Astartes, the Decimator is believed to be an attempt to bolster the ranks of such ancient devices that still serve the Traitor Legions. If this is the truth, then it is feared that many warriors of the Imperium will fall before these deadly war machines.

The Decimator Daemon Engine, model designed by Daren Parrwood and Edgar Skomorowski, is an incredibly detailed full resin kit that stands roughly 4" (102mm) tall. Weapons for this fell war machine are sold separately. This kit is available to pre-order now for despatch from Monday 2nd April, and you can also download experimental rules for the Decimator from the Forge World website.

Adepticon 2012 38 Days away (Please Hurry)

    So, my plan was to complete an army just for open games at Adepticon. Well, I did it 1505pt. Blood Angel  Jump pack heavy army. I played it at Chicago Battle bunker against a daemon army. I didn't win but it was close. I would like to adjust it a little. I used Dante and the Sanguinator I think it is alittle much.
   So, the Swag Bag news looks good. Blue Table Painting is putting up templates. The first 500 people to go through registration get a battle foam bag. Last year I got a starter box of Warmachine that paid for the ticket, not to mention the novels and t-shirts that came in the bag.
  I am also looking forward to the bits sales and the nightly swap-o-rama deals galore. Yes, Forgeworld will be there. I wonder what the con limited edition model will be. I will try to post about the Con as much as possible. I plan on buying alot of cool stuff. Let me know what you want me to post about.
